Purpose of this article is to show how to configure Oracle HA cluster on Oracle Linux 6 with Cluster Suite (luci and ricci)

We will in short describe our environment. There are 3 linux server, two for cluster nodes and one for managament

As selinux is not really good friend to cluster we have to disable it. In this example we will disable firewall as well.

192.168.16.200 - oracle-ha.setenforce.com this machine is managament node

192.168.16.201 - oracle-ha1.setenforce.com this machine is cluster node

192.168.16.202 - oracle-ha2.setenforce.com this machine is cluster node

Ensure that all machines has same entries in /etc/hosts file, so in our example it will be

[root@oracle-ha ~]# more /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4
::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6
192.168.18.200 oracle-ha.setenforce.com oracle-ha
192.168.18.201 oracle-ha1.setenforce.com oracle-ha1
192.168.18.202 oracle-ha2.setenforce.com oracle-ha2

On all machines we have to enable all repos, and disable gpgcheck. To do this please run next commands:

[root@oracle-ha ~]# sed -i 's/enabled=0/enabled=1/g' /etc/yum.repos.d/public-yum-ol6.repo
[root@oracle-ha ~]# sed -i 's/gpgcheck=1/gpgcheck=0/g' /etc/yum.repos.d/public-yum-ol6.repo
